Fiona Watson

Fiona stumbled across the graphic design industry at Nucleus Design where she cut her teeth on account management as well as acting as their in-house PR resource. She moved on to CGI and then Lapot, ultimately as an account director working on packaging, retail, corporate branding and corporate comms projects, before being lured into the world of recruitment. Having led the graphic design recruitment teams for two of our competitors, she saw the light and joined GS in 2006.
Fiona recruits permanent designers at all levels in agencies of all shapes and sizes. She says she gets the best of both worlds here - working with designers, which she's always loved, and using her communication skills and industry knowledge too.
Fiona is sadly something of an anorak when it comes to which station coffee bars around London serve the best coffee! She seems to spend much of her time interviewing in them - fortunately, though, she has managed to refrain from taking along a small pad and jotting down train numbers…
