Senior Flash Designer/Developer

A leading global branding agency is looking for a talented Senior Flash Designer/Developer on a permanent basis working on a variety of projects.

The Role:
As a Senior Flash Developer/Designer, you will contribute to the strategy, conception and execution of all digital projects. The role assists in developing applications and interfaces for a broad range of websites and interactive digital projects, including video playback environments and microsites.

Working alongside and with lead designers you will contribute conceptually to microsites, animations, banners and integration with other systems and will push the creative team into new uncharted territory. You will be encouraged to research and keep up-to-date with the latest Flash and Actionscript developments.

The Candidate:
The ideal Flash Designer/Developer must feel both at home with timeline animations and robust Actionscript code and ideally have an understanding and passion for the latest trends and technology like Papervision, augmented reality and video and mobile integration.

The Flash Designer/Developer will be able to demonstrate both technical skills and creative ability, whilst working in a cutting edge, passionate environment. Ideally, the candidate will be a designer that has specialised as a Flash developer (rather than the other way around) so they would then have solid proven design skills and the development piece.

Relative experience at a senior level, in a full digital or integrated agency.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
List skills and Knowledge
Essential:
+ Object-oriented programming and design
+ ActionScript 2.0/3.0
+ A thorough understanding of OO programming (Classes & Objects) in ActionScript 2.0
+ Flash 10 and its new features: 3-D transformation and animation capabilities, filters, file references, etc
+ A practical understanding of loading and parsing XML into Flash
+ Familiarity with using Event Listeners and Custom Events
+ Animation (keyframed and programmatic)
+ Knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator, JavaScript, CSS, XHTML
+ Experience with coding Flash to be used in conjunction with a Content Management System
